When entering a Zoom meeting for the first time from a computer you will need to download a small application file. This process is easy to complete on all commonly used browsers. The examples below are shown using Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. It should open a new tab or window. Click the "open Zoom" pop-up or "click here" if that doesn't appear and follow the instructions to join the meeting with the app.
If you want to join in your browser rather than downloading an app you can click "join from your browser" at the bottom of the screen. When joining a Zoom conference, it is good practice to mute your microphone when not speaking.

Or, you can manually open the desktop app, click "Join," and type in the Meeting ID, if you have it. If you don't have the Zoom desktop app, you can join a meeting by clicking the invitation link and, on the webpage that automatically opens, selecting "Join from Your Browser.
